PCB Assembly Quality — How We Protect Your Product and Your Reputation

When a PCB fails in the field, the cost is never just the board. It is the recall, the repair, the replacement, the customer complaint, the damage to your brand, and in critical applications — the safety risk. Quality in PCB assembly is not optional. It is the product.
At Bharat Tech EMS, quality is not a department that checks boards at the end of the line. It is a culture that governs every decision from component sourcing to final packing. Our quality management system is built around ISO 9001:2015 and IPC-A-610 — the two most recognised international standards in PCB assembly.

Our Quality Standards & Certifications

Standard What It Means for You
ISO 9001:2015 Certified quality management system ensuring consistent processes and measurable outcomes.
IPC-A-610 Class 2 Standard commercial product quality for consumer and industrial electronics.
IPC-A-610 Class 3 High-reliability standard for automotive, medical, telecom, and defense electronics.
IPC J-STD-001 Soldering process standard followed across all production stages.
RoHS 2.0 Compliance Lead-free manufacturing using compliant materials — required for EU markets.
REACH Compliance Ensures absence of restricted hazardous substances for European market access.
IATF 16949 Principles Automotive-grade quality practices applied to relevant PCB assemblies.
ISO 13485 Awareness Medical device quality practices followed for healthcare electronics projects.

Our Testing & Inspection Equipment

Component Authenticity & Traceability

The biggest quality risk in PCB assembly is counterfeit or substandard components. Bharat Tech EMS sources 100% of components from authorised distributors — Digi-Key, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, and regional authorised channels. We do not source from grey market suppliers or unverified brokers.
For every production run, we maintain complete traceability records: component manufacturer, distributor, lot code, date code, reel ID, and the specific boards each reel was used for. If a component issue ever arises — in our factory or in the field — we can trace it completely within minutes.

First Article Inspection (FAI)

For every new product introduced at Bharat Tech EMS, a formal First Article Inspection (FAI) is conducted before bulk production begins. The first assembled board is measured, tested, and verified against all design and specification requirements. Bulk production only begins after FAI approval is documented and signed off.

Our Quality Promise

Microcontrollers, FPGAs, Flash memory, and EEPROMs that require pre-loaded firmware or configuration can be programmed in-circuit at Bharat Tech EMS. We operate programming stations for all major MCU families. Boards leave our facility tested, programmed, and ready to deploy — no additional step required at your end.
